Pet Oral Care Month - March 2010

We are offering free oral checks and you will receive a free Pedigree Dentastix pack (while stocks last). These checks are available during our Nurse Clinics on Tuesdays and Thursdays by appointment. 4 out of 5 dogs, over the age of 3 years old, have gum disease. This is the most common disease of adult dogs. It is worth getting your pets mouth checked at least once a year, usually at their booster vaccination so that any problems can be identified early, when they are cheaper to treat and treatment is generally more successful.

Warning Signs:

• Change in behaviour – reduced chewing activity and reluctant to play with toys and balls.
• Bad breath – can be a sign of problems developing
• Bleeding gums – if this occurs treatment is highly recommended.
